Bring harmony to your life

Jill teaches classes in Guiseley, Menston and Otley and clients come from a wide radius… Pateley Bridge, Bramhope, Apperley Bridge, Cookridge, Chapel Allerton.

Jill has a BSc Hons Sports Science and Leisure Management and qualified in 1986 with a NABBA award in Strength training followed by the BAWLA certificate in weight lifting. After that she went on to qualify in Aerobics, Step Aerobics, Circuit training, Slide and many other trends.

Jill has been trained by Modern Pilates which is a clinical approach to Pilates and has been devised and is taught by physiotherapists. Many of the exercises remain the same as the original Joseph Pilates exercises but allowances are made for injury rehabilitation and creativity by the teacher. Jill achieved her CYQ Certificate in Matwork Pilates Level 3, which is considered the ‘gold standard’ within the industry, in 2011 and many of her early clients are still practicing with her.

Fast forward 30+ years and Jill has taught thousands of people fun, motivational exercise classes achieving amazing results.

Jill has a lifelong passion for fitness and continues to expand her education in the area of corrective, holistic exercise.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes that don’t restrict your movement, and that you feel relaxed in. But make sure I can see your posture.  If you have long hair a hair bobble is a good idea for the same reason.

Do I need to bring a mat?

No, mats are supplied at most venues.  However it is a good idea to bring a large towel.

What do I do if I miss a class?

You can make up a maximum of 4 classes within the period of your course subject to availability.  Please read the Terms & Conditions.

How many courses are there per year and when do I pay?

Pilates courses run as 3 terms per year and you pay as the previous term finishes to secure your place.
If you are interested in this, please contact Jill on 0773 701 9596 or email inharmonyguiseley@outlook.com

Do I wear shoes?

No. Pilates is done barefoot or in socks.

Can I join a course once it has started?

For beginners, bookings are taken up to week two. After this time you will need to wait for the next booking period.  It is important in Pilates that everyone learns the base line essential principles in order for the exercises to be safe and effective.
